My laptop has apparently died last night and I don not know what is wrong. I have had it for a year and have never had a problem with it before. It is an HP dv2620ca with Vista Home Premium running on it.
It was running fine yesterday morning. I shut it down and packed it in my carrying case to bring it over to my wife's parents house (which I do very frequently). But when I tried to turn it on at their house nothing happened. The laptop remains dead when i press the power button, no start up, no lights, nothing. I have it plugged in with the ac adapter and the light around the plug is on showing it is plugged in but that is it. No other lights or sign of life.
I always keep the battery fully charged so I disconnected the ac adapter and tried again, nothing again. I followed some suggestions on HP's website to remove the battery and try to reset the laptop. Nothing happened. I also tried to remove and reseat the RAM as well. No change
This is very distressing and I do not know what could be wrong or what I can do.
Any ideas or suggestions would be apprecated
Thank you.
