Hi there,

A few years back my laptop (Lenovo Yoga 510 14isk 80S7007VUK 14") was in a friends car and he crashed into a peat bog, casting my laptop bag into some shallow water.

After some time the screen slowly came back to life. However, a few years down the line there is a permanent dark band down the centre of the screen (see image). The touch screen is still fully responsive but its pretty much unusable.

Is there something I can do to rectify this myself? or is this going to need replaced?

A replacement screen seems to be around £120 sadly. Its a shame as it still runs as quick as the day I got it and it would be nice to get it back to working order.

Any help and advice is very much appreciated.

Apologies if this isn't posted in the right section.

Many thanks,
Lewis

Cheers guys, very much appreciated. I think I had originally been looking at the prices for the touch-screen replacements. I don't really need that though so for half the price I think I can handle using the track pad 😂

Do you think it will be relatively easy to change the screen myself?
