hello, I am trying to wipe this laptop. I have the original recovery cd and directions. They say to put the disk in the drve, power up the computerwhile holding down the c key. Rlease c key when toshiba screen appears and the computer will format the hard drive and install the factory image. Once process is complete, remove disk and press any key to restart your computer.
I have tried this and everything seems to be going great when this screen appears to warn me that all things will be erased during this process and asking if I am sure I want to continue. It says to press F1 for OK or F2 to cancel. When I try to press F1 nothing happens. Pressing F2 is the nly other option and that aborts the process. I have tested the F1 key to make sure it is not broken and tried pressing F1 and the windows key together but nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas on this or better yet experienced and solved the same issue? I'm going crazy with this thing!
