I have a SONY VAIO VGN-NR430D. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit and I have an Intel Dual Core T2390 1.87 Ghz.
I've been wondering if my computer has been running too hot. My boyfriend's computer recently died because of overheating and I'd like to prevent the same for mine.
My computer hasn't shut itself down, and while the bottom of the computer can get very warm, it's never "burning."
I downloaded speedfan which tells me that my computer runs at around 55 degrees C when I'm doing just basic web browsing. If I play a game it goes up to over 75 degrees C.
I bought a Microsoft Cooling Pad which seems to make absolutely no difference in the temperature.
Is my computer too hot? Any advice?
