I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop (P55W-C) running windows 10. It's less than a year old and recently started not working when it's not plugged in. It shuts off immediately when unplugged and will not turn back on unless I put it back.
It says the battery is fully charged.

There hasn't been a Windows 10 update in the past 2 days (when it started happening) so I'm really not sure what's going on. I checked all my power settings and nothing's been changed, even scanned for viruses just in case.

Please help.

Is the charger in working order?

Is the BIOS on the latest version?

Does this happen in Safe Mode?

Try taking the battery out and re-seating it.

Charger's fine.
BIOS is the latest version.
Safe mode doesn't help.

I can try to take out the battery but that's a lot of screws to remove lol (wish me luck I guess)
