I'm having a problem where suddenly, seemingly without provocation, my laptop screen isn't working anymore. The machine boots up and all, and works fine if you don't mind carrying a monitor around with your laptop, and you can sort of see what's on the LCD from an angle, but it doesn't help to turn the lights off.
My husband does lots of computer repair, but doesn't have much laptop business, and he's tired of trying to fix it. I've been sucked in by the portable convenience and am desperately still hoping we'll be able to fix it. He replaced the CCFL (cold cathode flourescent lamp) and the little transformer thingy that powers the CCFL (can't remember what it's called).
Can anybody help? Anybody got a clue? Please?
Thanks,
Carey
