Laptop Randomly Shuts Off

I have a Lenovo Y710 Windows 7 32-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5450 @ 1.66GHz, 1662 MHz 2.00GB RAM
and it randomly shuts down when using full CPU process at 100% (when using facebook and youtube and anything else gets to 100% process) I am pretty sure it is not a virus though because i already checked the computer for viruses o and also shuts down when i barely started up the laptop so how can the virus even load i already re installed windows 7 still shuts off and blowed the fan with can of compressed air even opened the laptop and cleaned the dirt off

Also i do not know but it maybe started since i tried over-clocking the computer but most likely i under-clocked to much with (NHC) program because now in cpu-z it says core speed at 997.2 MHz and in everest its says under the
Overclock > CPU Speed > CPU Clock "997.2 MHz (original: 1667 MHz)" so thats probably why its at 100% process with so little programs open so if some one can help me overclock it again thanks

Also in my motherboard name it says just "Lenovo Invalid" so i dont know what motherboard I have and I cant update the bios but its pheonix so i dont know where i can update it already tried the website but can not find where to update it

any help would be appreciated thanks

Also My core voltage is at 0.950V i dont know if this has something to do with the low performance but any help would be appreciated any time now thank you

Any buddy wana help me out...

check your cpu temp
Ok? i know its not turning off due to overheating because when i barely startup the laptop it just turns back off immediately oh and it does not abruptly turn of while i am using it like it should when it is due to a heat related issue.
The process is as follows: First the screen turns off but the fan and everything else is still running the LEDs in the keyboard remain on then completely shuts off but its around 10 seconds later after the screen turns off that the computer completely turns off

so any other tips would be appreciated though thanks for looking in
they don't abruptly turn turn off with heat problems

you first notice it gets sluggish and have to wait for it to cool down before you can restart it

the longer the break before restarting the longer it stays up before shutting down again

if you are receiving no bsod error message it usually points to heat or power
oh but i already cleaned the fan and i can feel air coming out of it and also I leave the computer off for like 1 or 2 days then turn it back on its cold and also in my room but it just turns off anyways then i have to try like 2 more times and turns on finally,,, so I dont know what it is already spent some money on it well wasted with some shop place but they didn't even fixed it even though they said they did and the guy did not give me my money back so I am kinda disappointed:sigh: because cant figure out what it is but thanks any ways dude any other tip?

what can you tell me about the think with the processor that it says its clocked at 997.2 MHz but its originally at 1.67 GHz i think something went wrong with notebook hardware control program thing and again thanks for your time dude seriously

You mentioned that you had attempted to alter the CPU speed by overclocking and your system shows a speed of 997.2 versus the original speed of 1662? Is this still the case? I'd be curious if you were to turn on your computer and enter the BIOS settings and reset them back to default settings if that might resolve the issue. Often the BUS speed or Multiplier are the things that are changed to attempt to overclock the processor and that can cause the CPU to lockup/halt during times of high stress...such as booting. Give that a try and see if that works.

Well in reality I did not change the clock speed, Notebook Hardware Control (http://www.pbus-167.com/) did that for me it over-clocked it automatically well under-clocked actually with out me authorizing it to do so and since then I have not been able to change it back to normal. I also tried restoring the bios setting back to defaults but no luck as well as upgrading the bios nothing happened also so I'm still stuck at 997.2MHz.

Oh i was wondering man why when i check my motherboard in any program everest, siw, cpu-z, etc it says INVALID only the manufacturer comes out as Lenovo or in dxdiag under System Model it says invalid as well

Oh and I only updated the bios through lenovos website but i am not sure if that's the most recent upgrade for my bios
