Laptop problems

My younger brother is on the verge of purchasing a laptop. He is keenly interested in a Fujitsu Amilo which he has seen in dabs http://www.dabs.com/uk/shopbybrand/fujitsu/ProductView.htm?quicklinx=3PY6&mc=6

Problem is that DABS have such poor service that he has trouble getting his sitch card to work and he cannot talk to tham as they hav no telephone number!
SO my question is two fold here
1. what u think of that laptop- in terms of value for money etc? is there better or is it a steal?
2. Where else would have a good deal like this and where would u reccommend?

We live in N.Ireland, and he is sold on this laptop....advise!
