hi i got a really old lap top with xp now when ever i boot it up a screen appears saying there was an error n the options to start in safe mode safe network ect all the options lead back to that screen when it bots up i press f12 get to bios i think gives options of floppy,hard n cd rom drives every 1 of them just get me back to that 1st screen i described :4-dontkno

Can't start in Safe Mode...

hey ive got exactly the same problem but am not able to make a boot cd is there any 1 who can help me set that computer as a slave to my new vista lap top and talk me thru what i need to do to fix the problem

stupid non booting computer

hi ive got a problem with an old toshiba laptop running xp now i think i got a virus as i keep getting a blue screen describing some error now i cant run bois just gets me back to screen saying to sart in safe mode safe network or just start windows i am aware that a boot disk will fix this but have no access to a cd burner or floppy so was wondering if there was any way to fix the problem by connecting my new vista lap to the old 1 in slave mode now i have no idea how do do this have never connected them b4 so what id like to know is if its possible will it fix this problem how to connect them both then what to do to 1make sure my new computer dosent get trashed n 2how to re boot the old 1 n identify what the problem is n how to fix please hellllllllp

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

hi ummm i have made my boot disk i think it was the ubcd411 have put it in got to a menu now im stuck what do i do i have a list of tools n diags but i dont know how to identify the problem then how to fix it 4 eg: i ran a hdd diag it scaned told me i had 97 bad sectors but gave me no info on how to fix
