Laptop Not Charging

I have an HP laptop and the computer just suddenly stopped charging. The battery wont charge, but the loptop wont run with the battery removed either. I thought it might be the charger, but the light on the charge is on saying its powered, but its not getting to the laptop. Is there something I can so, or check to see if it either the laptop or the charger that isnt working.

The light does not mean much. I would think that the charger needs replacing here, as the alternative is that the charging circuitry in the motherboard is broken.

So, try a new charger first and hopefully it fixes it.
