my Macbook Air (2013) behaves strangely. When I turn it on, it goes off. Sometimes I am able to log in, but it turns off in a while, like in less than a minute.
When pressing & holding (the whole time) the left CMD button, this does not happen. Once I release the CMD button, the laptop turns off after a while (in less than a minute again).

Any idea what could cause that? :/

Thank you,

I'm not a Mac guy, but I think you need to reinstall the OS whichever version you have.

Reset the PRAM / NVRAM
Shut down your Mac, Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R.

  1. Turn on your Mac.
  2. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
  3. Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
  4. Release the keys.
