The second one would be better, but they booth wouldn't be that great since they have integrated cards with no dedicated video RAM. The 3023WLMi that you have right now would be better than both actually.

It depends on the game and the graphic options you have selected for the game but overall if you are looking for a gaming machine you shouldn't buy a laptop. It is hard (if possible) to update their graphics card and the ones they come with are not great. 512 RAM is also not a lot, you should have at least 1GB of RAM or DDR2 RAM. Also a 2.2Ghz processor would be a nice improvement.

How much storage capacity do they have?
At least 100GB would be nice.

My laptop...

Acer Aspire 1522WLMi
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1MB L2 1.8Ghz
1GB PC2700 DDR RAM (upgraded from 512MB)
80GB 7200RPM HDD
DVD-R/RW
VIA K8N800 chipset
S3 UniChrome Pro II IGP (64MB shared RAM)

In GuildWars I can get 15-20FPS on high detail and up to 25 in low detail. WoW runs around 25 at medium detail.

Integrated graphics won't play many games. Only things like Quake 3...

I have a Acer Aspire 5512WLMi, with ATI X700 128MB dedicated graphics. This runs most games pretty well. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Hitman 2 play flawlessly on it. Both at 1280X800 pixels.

A while back, I played Lego Racers 2 on it, just cos the CD was lieing around, and that plays amazingly smoothly. Though, when I run my Laptop off battery power, it uses the intergrated to the motherboard graphics, and when using that on Lego Racers, it is poor! You can barely play the game. So at least a 64MB dedicated graphics card is required to play any good games.

Go for one with 1GB of RAM, makes a lot of difference compaired to 512MB.

The processor is no longer a big thing with laptops, you really won't notice much speed difference between say 1.7GHz to 2GHz. Consontrate more on the graphics card and memory.

Ways to improve it the graphics, would be to have a look at the 'Optimize XP' link in my sig, and download and run Game XP
