I have same problem.
my laptop is always showing 100%.
battery works for one hour when not power plugged, monitor shows 100% all the time, then 1h after the battery led start blinks and computer turns off.
when plugged, the computer works normally but even when battery is charging, the monitor shows 100%.
My laptop is hp compaq nx6325 with windows xp pro sp2.
I used this system with windows for years, but last year I istalled Linux Ubuntu. All drivers worked finelly but is hard to adapt myself with other system. then I installed windows again.
Only after this, the problem occurs.
