Laopto: Lenovo Twist (s230u). 3 years old machine.
Warranty Status: Under extended warranty for the next few months. Extended depot warranty.
Problem: A minor crack has developed into bigger. Pictures uploaded in the link:

It didn't happen due to any physical damage or such thing. Kindly let me know:
(1) if this would be covered in extended warranty? There is no damage to the screen yet. So far the machine is working okay, though if close the monitor, then monitor panel comes in the way.
(2) If it is not expected to be covered under warranty, then what could be the cost of the parts to be replaced and what that part would be called?
My knowledge on computers is quite basic, so hopefully described the issue properly.
