Hi,

I hope someone can help, just set up my new router. No problems but on second PC cannot seem to connect to the Internet and it looks as if there is no LAN. This is how it read:

"You already have an Internet connection using LAN Connection" "The Internet Connection Wizard could not configure your computer to connect to the Internet. You may not have the correct permission to alter settings. You must manually set up your own TCP/IP protocols, Dial Up Networking and modem, ISDN line, or other dial out device."

I believe I have the connection from the router to the second PC but somehow need to configure a new set up..... Can anyone help?

Cheers Col.

Can you tell us the make/model of the router, the broadband modem, and the version/patch level of Windows in use? Also, on the problem machine, please do this:

For 98 or ME, Start, Run, COMMAND to open a DOS window:
--- or ---
For 2K or XP, Start, Run, CMD to open a DOS window:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.
