Problem 1 : whenever i start games, my computer will become extremely laggy.

Problem 2 : also when i play, i usually get distorted pictures with flashes of some funny colour. ( does it have anything to do with my graphics card? )

side issue : whenever i use my task manager, my CPU Usage is ALWAYS 100%.even when im not running any program.

can someone help with this please?

com specs :

2.4GHz Pentium 4 processor
64Mb GeForce2 MX graphics card
256Mb 133Hz SD RAM

first your specs

2.4ghz pentium 4, very nice
64mb geforce 2 mx, not nice consider upgradin that
256mb 133mhz RAM, not enough ram these days i recommend a gig if u wanna run new games, 2gig if u wanna blast those games, also your ram is WAY WAY WAY too slow 133mhz is laughable these days i used to have 333mhz and that wasnt good enough, now i have 400mhz and it made a hell of a difference. So i would say this is definitely a hardware problem.

If your wondering why nobody answered this for so long it is because it is in the wrong board try posting in the right board and you will get more responses.

P.S. need more help? just ask

i don't know, i can play doom3 on my machine, with no lag, in decent 1024x768 resolution, all with 133 mhz pc2100 ram.

although i do agree 100% that 256 megs is not enough.

but with games, it's all about the video card anyhow.
