Hi,

I am using Windows 2000 and sometimes I get a job that is hanging in the queue and I cannot delete it no matter what I do.
The status says "deleting" but the job hangs indefinitely. This causes a porblem as I am no longer able to print any documents unless this job is killed.
Is there a way to maually kill this job and is there a command I can enter in command prompt like in UNIX?
I gone to Start > Settings > Printers > right click on the printer icon and selected Cancel All Documents but this did not help.
The only other option is to reboot the machine.
Is there any other way to kill the print job??

Thanks in advance.

You can start/stop the print spooler. Open a command prompt and type:

net stop spooler

then type:

net start spooler

(see attachment)

Otherwise you can stop/start the spooler in the service applet.

Last resort is to reboot.

Let me know if this helps.
