keyboard will not type the letter "€" right!

So, you can s€€ that my € k€y typ€s absolut€ly crazy and I don't hav€ a clu€ as to how to fix it. I r€ad som€ forums from oth€r w€bsit€s and it said to turn off your "num lock" button, so I tri€d that, but th€n it mad€ it so you can't typ€ an € at all. I also w€nt to "control pan€l" and click€d "r€gional and languag€ options" and mad€ sur€ it was on "US", and also ch€k€d th€ "k€yboard" s€ttings from th€ contol pan€l also. It do€s this w€th€r th€ caps lock button is on or not, and it first start€d doing it wh€n I was halfway through typing a Yahoo Answ€rs qu€stion. I hav€ no id€a how this happ€n€d, and I hav€ a history proj€ct du€ soon that I n€€d to typ€, so if som€on€ could r€spnd to this ASAP!

PS: Th€ only way I got th€ '€''s to work in th€ titl€ was by copying and pasting th€m in th€r€.

w€ll, s€€ing as I cannot just go out and buy a k€yboard right at this mom€nt, I want to try €v€ry option to fix it possibl€ to mak€ sur€ it is th€ k€yboard and not th€ comput€r.
Do€s ANYON€ hav€ any id€as?
ps: I also just tri€d to to do a syst€m r€stor€ to an €arli€r dat€ to try and fix it, but it wont l€t m€ do that! Is th€r€ any s€tting that will allow m€ to r€stor€ to a f€w days ago?

Can you borrow another keyboard from a friend?

Can you test your keyboard on another computer?

Is the System Restore feature enabled, and do you have any system restore points for the last few days?

Run an antivirus scan.

Insert your XP CD, then go to Start > Run and type sfc /scannow (note the space after sfc) to run the System File Checker.
