i have a keyboard with the 3 keys in the corner labled shutdown,sleep and wakeup but shutdown just makes it go to sleep as well any clues ps. its a BTC keyboard if its any help

Have you looked in the CMOS to see if there is a setting for that?

Usually you need to load drivers or software for keyboards that have buttons on them. Did you do this? Or do you not have a disk? You could check the Manufacturer's website for updates.
