Keyboard not working during start-up

725 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Tyree
I've spent hours trying to get this thing done. I've made a partition on my drive that I need to use for a clean install of W7 and I can't get into my BIOS because I have a USB keyboard. I don't have a P2/S keyboard, so that's not an option, can I get some help here?

You'll need a PS/2 keyboard or usb-PS/2 adapter to enter the bios and set Legacy USB to enabled in order to use a USB keyboard to enter the bios, see if you can borrow a PS/2 board from a friend.
If you can't find one to borrow, most office type and big box stores have keyboards very cheap.
