Weird, every now and then when i start my comp, it wont recognize my keyboard. But then, when i plug in the junky backup and we get to windows desktop, it will recognize the original keyboard once i plug it in.
The one that cant be recognized is usb, the other just standard input.

No matter what usb port I connect it to it doesnt work. Only when i get to desktop with junky keyboard and then I plug in usb, will it be seen...sorry if this is jumbled..very weird problem here..

Do you have sp2 installed? If not you should update, that will probably
take care of the problem. You may try to go into device manager
and look for any yellow or red flags next to usb.
