Do a system restore to a point before you attempted to install ati tool.
Kernel driver problem 4870
hi I have a HIS Hightech H487FN512P Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card and as i was installing ati tool, the instalation failed while it was updating the kernel mode driver. Everytime i log on to windows it says do you want to install drivers for the unknown device, and it always cannot find drivers. CCC works fine and under graphics adapters it has ati raedon 4800 series. After leaving my comp, when i came back it had a BSOD that said a driver atempted to acsess the kernel mode driver and windows shut down for protection.
