I just got an HP laptop for Christmas. Within the first two days I would get this light blue screen with a smiley it said 'your computer has run into a problem we need to collect some information and restart.' It also says this 'system_service_exception' when it comes back on it gives me the option to send it to Microsoft and and they are sending these to it.

It stopped doing that after 3 days and it just started again yesterday.

When you have time to do so, please follow the blue screen posting instructions to provide us with your reports. Those reports will allow us to diagnose the system and provide troubleshooting steps to fix the problem.

I'm a little bit confused. Should I do all those steps? Or just the last one for the blue screen?
