I would try another power supply first / especially if you can "borrow" one from a friend

K8VSE Freeze at bios screen
Hello,
Yesterday the power went out during a game of HL2
M and this morning during boot up my computer froze at the bios screen. I reset the CMOS and it got past the screen but then it froze up telling me I had a CPU fan failure! I opened up my case and sure enough the fan was not spinning. I checked the connections but everything seems fine. I'm now unsure on whether my motherboard is fried or if I need a new power supply, I'm inclined to believe it’s a fried motherboard though.
