Install it via Java.com's website....may want to remove any existing installations first to have a clean slate.
Java will not install
Hi,
Initial message while trying to play on-line text twist was "Java not installed".
I'm running Windows XP - IE 6, checked Use Java in Internet options, downloaded jre-6u6-windows-i586-p-s.exe, double-clicked and nothing happens, absolutely nothing. It took 11 hours to download that file (dial-up) so I don't want to do that again. Active-x message showed once, I clicked it, nothing happened there either. I guess I'm stumped. Any suggestion, short of a rebuild?
