Here’s a question-
Can you read a Vfat partition on a remote computer while the remote is in Mandrake Linux, from another windows computer?

Network is confirmed good and all OS’es are talking to each other.

Reason- I’m recently convinced that XMMS sounds better than Winamp and would like to use it as my jukebox player in the living room- and knowing that windows don’t like reading linux partitions, I would like to store the music on a fat32 partition, while at the same time being able to access the MP3’s from remote Windows computers.

Heavy.

I suppose you could readily setup samba, a NetBIOS server for linux machines to talk to your windows computer(s). This allows filesharing, and more information can be found at the samba documentation site if you're interested.
