I do not know when this happens, as in which particular event causes it but, the files...

AUTOEXEC 0 kb
boot 1 kb
CONFIG 0 kb
IO 0 kb
MSDOS 0 kb
NTDETECT 47 kb
ntldr 245 kb
pagefile 2,095,104 kb
WINXP 1 kb

Somehow find their way from the WINDOWS/system32 folder, into C:\

Anyone have a clue as to why they would be moved, or what process might be doing this? I have had it happen once before, and it was REAL annoying when I deleted them, and they weren't copies, but in fact the actual files.

And if someone know, or could look, can you let me know the actual directories they should be in so I can move them back.

Than they were completely hidden and decided to just show up the day I posted this because they weren't displayed previously, and I had already unhidden the C:\ drive and WINDOWS folder. Any ideas as to why they would show themselves randomly?

if you changed your setup to display hidden files and folders and to not hide protected system files they will be seen the next time you open explorer.
That's what is strange, getting into those folders C:\, WINDOWS, etc.. is one of the first things I do, but those file just showed up night before last. I'll see if I can hide them again. Thanks.
