-(note)- this board looks really impresive, so please move to appropriate section if neaded?

Could ya tell me a good ISP for the Dallas TX area that would be nearly "unbreakable" for users like me who have enough knowledge of computers and web stuff to make problems with connectivy, but not enough knowledge to fix it all and keep it up and working?

-- some examples=
-free version of "realplayer"
- MSN messenger stuff... maybe even "net2phone" crud, etc.
- That stinkin' monky icon for "fixing downloading faster"
(not that I have that, but... would be a good test?)
- uadiogalaxy--- now THAT would be somethin if I could still connect with that!
- ICQ , Yahoo messenger, .. ohh, I know... hows' about..
- "hearme.com" for webcam stuff... now I'm afraid to try ANY webcam messages EVER...
- .... you get the idea maybe... programs that I have heard others use, then I try, then ... blammo! -- computer blows up to bits! .......

*Is there an ISP that supports these types of trials and/or others that will still connect?
*secondly= hows' about DSL, Cable, Dialup, ..any.. for the price of around ..ohhh,,, (under $22 for dialup), (under $40 for DSL/Cable)?

Also , could ya let me know if these troubles are "normal" ? or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks!!

Att broadband is what I use @ home and it works great. At&t serves the entire Dallas area and depending on the deals they have running now you can get it for about $45 dollars a month with no installation or setup fees.

You can use all the software you listed.
