my boss has asked me about setting up a proxy server for the office. to track the internet usage, firewall and VPN.
im going with ISA 2006 atm because,
1) the firewall features are fairly decent
2) i can intergrate it into my remote access enviroment between buildings.
3) may be able to load exchange 2007 external role (currently done by a linux box no one knows how to rebuild here)
4)proxy server and caching for performance and auditing purposes.
now im unsure as to what sort of hardware requirements i need to run this.
yes i have read microsofts recommend hardware site on technet.
atm i have to assume thier correct and that
1gb of ram, 2 ghz single core, 2.5gb hdd(caching&logging) will work.
if anyone has any experience i would be glad to hear from you
at the moment my intended OS is
server2003R2 32bit
