Greetings to each and everyone,

First of all I would like to greet everyone a happy new year, I have been going around the internet watching all the breakthroughs in gaming and computer technology, finally I have decided to upgrade my videocard, to something more suitable for modern games, My current rig is a AMD 4600+ X2 (socket 939), nForce 6150 Motherboard, 1GB PC3200 DDR1, 2 Harddrives (250GB Seagate SATA, and 80GB Seagate SATA), 1 DVD-Writer (Lite-on), my PSU is just the generic LC-B500E that comes with the casing, I'm planning to upgrade my videocard to Radeon x1950 XT 256MB, since reading different reviews and specification about this videocard, I came up with something about the required power supply of at least 450Watts and able to supply up to 30A in the 12V rails, then I started looking at my PSU which states that it is a 500Watts PSU, but what worries me is the 12V Rail which offers only something like 18Amps base on the description, please help I really do not understand this 12V rails is and what's this all about, thus that mean I really have to change my PSU as well? I'm really lame at this PSU stuff... Please help... :sigh:

Thanks Much Everyone, and have a Happy New Year...

I would highly reccomend you change your supply to the Antec TRIO 650 watt they can be bought for $100.00 after rebate

sooner or later your current supply is not goign to be able to cut the mustard, often this results in other componenets getting fried. Beat the reaper to your party and upgrade your PSU also!
I have to agree- an ATI X1950 off a generic PSU.. :sayno:

You need very good continuous Voltage, Amperage and Wattage on the 12V rails for those. :sayyes:
