Hi, I'm buying a new hard drive and I want to reinstall my current copy of windows on that new one. The problem is I don't know where my CD is, or where my registration key is. The CD is fine, I can borrow from parents, but I don't know if I can still find the key. Is there anywhere I can see it on my computer?

You should have attached the sticker (key) to the side of the computer. Try MagicJellyBean

Like geekgirl said. Most of the time there will be a sticker on the back
of the pc., or somewhere. If not download belarc, do a google, there are
others that just comes to mind...

Magic JellyBean should do it for you. There's also a free program called SIW that will find it, and other registration numbers for your software in its Licenses folder.
