I have a whole lot of audio tapes that I am currently transferring into my computer and will eventually transfer to cd. I am currently using the audacity program along with an audio tape player but I will be forever trying to get all of them transferred. Is there a high speed device that I can put the audio tapes in and transfer them more quickly?

there are tape players that have adjustable speed and can be cranked up to play 2+x the intended rate...but then you're going to need an application to go the other way when it gets to your HDD...AFAIK such software is pro audio and costs a pretty penny..

that device runs at 4.75cm/s which is normal cassette tape speed...and at that price I wonder at the quality of transfer and its lifespan...
