I'm posting this as a last resort to get someones opinion on if my card is dead.
I have a Philips X57 from PC World with Nvidia Geforce Go 7400 graphics.

The problem is every time I boot up windows with the Nvidia Drivers installed i get a BSOD because of nvldskm.sys. If I boot up in safe mode and remove the file from it's location I can then boot into windows normally using the standard VGA graphics onboard.

I have used Rivatuner and the Nvidia graphics card shows up with all of the details, All looks OK on there but I cannot run with the card enabled.

I have tried many different types of drivers and I am pretty sure I have used the right drivers, Including the ones that came preinstalled.

I have restored windows from scratch and still have the same problem, One time when I installed a new set of drivers it worked OK for a few hours only to shutdow again with the same BSOD error, It hasn't worked since-It is still picked up as Geforce Go in the device manager.

I have ran a Video Memory Stress test from a boot CD and it found thousands of errors with wrong addresses. e.g range is FF should be EF, value is 00 should be 10 or something along those lines.

Is my card screwed or is there any way to sort out a problem like this, I know that the card is soldered to the board so replacing it is not an option, I just need to know whether to make do with the VGA graphics or if there is indeed a fix out there.

Thanks for any replies

it sounds like you are trying to install the wrong new driver
install the original driver and look on the makers site for an updated driver
I'm pretty sure it's not just driver related, I have the original drivers from the PC World website and they won't work, Got some from Laptop Video 2 Go for my card and they don't work, I have driver detective proffesional so checked with that and the drivers they suggested did not work either. I always get the BSOD error.

Also if it helps when I boot up there are blue vertical lines on the screen followed by what looks like a screen full of noughts with dots in the middle, When I boot into windows and it loads the VGA graphics the picture is OK.

My main question is the results of the Memory stress test-I have the software and have run the test I just don't really know what the results mean, It picked up 65,000 errors in an hour and wasn't anywhere near finished-Does this mean it is dead? I don't understand how Rivatuner can tell me all of the correct details for the card if it was dead.

I have spent days looking things up on google and I have tried many fixes, I have tested my RAM as I know with some people they get the same BSOD with a RAM error but my RAM has passed all tests, I don't have the option of testing on an external screen as the S-Video connection is built on the Graphics card and windows won't boot when the drivers are installed.
