did you uninstall the drivers before reinstalling
run
chkdsk f/ r

uninstall the drivers reboot tapping f8 and choose vga mode
when windows finishes rebooting
disable a/virus
reinstall your drivers
reboot the computer
check the event viewer for any errors that coincide with the freeze
what power supply are you running

right click on your antivirus icon in the taskbar and choose exit

run
chkdsk /f / r
