I want to build a gaming PC. But I want to connect it to my 61" 1080P DLP TV. I want to inlcude a Blu-Ray player and have the ability to watch HDTV broadcasts and have recording options. But, I want to be able to play new games at high settings, for long durations.

My question is: What drawbacks will I encounter combining all of these interests into 1 box? Besides for cost of course.

Is it better to build 2 seperate machines, 1 strictly for gaming and 1 for MC?

Also, can my needs be met with a $2,000 budget?
