I researched it a lot and tried different software but nothing seems to work. Tried all the free stuff first and the only that that seems possible is to get the text only through email. Can't see a way to transfer it to whatsapp. There seems to be some paid software out there but there's very little info on it and there isn't a guarantee on it. I have no idea what to try or even where to look.

Thank you, but it seems it only works from iOS to an Huawei phone with android and not the other way around. Tried and didn't pick up, then when I googled it I found that's what it is. Any other suggestions?

Oops, my bad. Didn't notice that fact. I'll keep my eyes peeled . . .

In the meantime, hopefully someone else will drop in here soon with another idea or two ...

Because WhatsApp can't create a backup, this is very inconvenient. I know how to transfer chats to android from iOS.
