Hi,

I've recently purchased a all-in-1 card reader, and installed it.
However when installing it I found that I had to disconnect the front USB to do so.

There are 9 pins on the board available. The 2 front USB requires 8 and the card reader takes 4.

is it possible to connect both the card reader and the front USB at the same time?

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could tell me if they've encountered this problem!

That's a basic look at your USB header on the motherboard. The last pin on the top (or bottom if that is how your's is arranged) is not used. So, if your card reader only takes one row, you could use the other to handle a single USB port in the front.
