Is it hardware or Software Problem

Sometimes when i start my computer ,it use to start giving beeps when windows XP is loaded and it use to give after every 30 to 60 seconds.This procedures continues till the time i donot restart or shut down the computer and start again.What are the possible causes.IS these software clashes or some problem in Hardware.
My specs are 1.1AGhz celeron,128MB RAM and 40GB Harddisk and WinXP Pro.

It's hardware at 99%.You should look in your motherboard user guide or web site. Motherboard beep when hardware go mad.

I forgot to tell, it beep if keyboard buffer is full too. Maybe your keyboard is broke and some key stay press.

yeah like some games can't handle the interrupt of usually about 4 keys being pressed, it will beep then
