Hi folks, I use the above scan to clear out all the rubbish on my computer. after clearing everything out, I always get this message: Your Internet configuration is not optimised for maximum speed. Netbooster optimises various settings to suit you type of Internet connection. My Internet connection is via Ethernet and, I have visited Netbooster and I am afraid that it is a mystery to me. IOLO System Mechanic is a Temp File cleaner,and Registry Cleaner/Optimizer. The temp file cleaner is a good option, but Everyone here will tell you the Registry Cleaner part will cause more problems then it will fix. Netbooster is the same. It boasts that it will change your default internet settings to boost internet speed. But I doubt you will see any difference and it may in fact do the opposite.

You should note that Netbooster is also from IOLO. IOLO System Mechanic is simply noticing that NetBooster is not installed and gives you the message in the hopes of making another sale. It has nothing to do with the actual state of your Internet connection.

In the large majority of cases the biggest influence by far over Internet performance is the speed of your Internet connection and that is controlled by your ISP. The only way to change that is to pay for a faster Internet connection.
