Hello yall as I now live in Houston Texas. I am a 40 year old former nerd. I learned about computers at ITT Tech when pc's did not have hard drives.
I now work in sales and am envious of you younger ones who now write code in C or any new programming language as I learned Cobol and RPG. I will try not to be too much of a pest. But no promises.

Best Wishes

rw_n_tex,

Welcome to TSF a fun place where we even manage to help a few folks.

BTW I also remember the days of no HD's, my first PC was a dual floppy IBM with a whopping 640kb of Ram.

Hope you stick around with us.

Thanks for the Welcome. I used to live in your neck of the woods. Seattle. Glad to be gone. I like the Texas heat better than the Seattle rain.

Yeah that sounds about right. I also worked on an IBM System 36. Now there are pcs with more computing power and I feel almost like an old shoe. Cause DOS was then and I don't have a clue now.
