As little as possible. Just kidding. This time a year, I listen to people complain because when they where online last night during the big thunderstorm the power went out and now they smell smoke when they turn the computer on, if it turns on at all, or the modem doesn't work any more. Then when the bring it in it usually sits here since my boss doesn't understand that its thunderstorm season again, and modems and power supplies are our number one seller. So I wait until parts come in, or for the isurance company to send us the ok. Who would have thought that if you live in the lighting capital of the world that you would go through modems power supplies so quickly, not me boss. I also get to listen to him say that they still can't afford to give me a raise or hire another tech even though repairs have increase a lot since last year, as he drives off in his 3rd new car since the 4 years I've been here. I'm not bitter though.

Believe or not I think I relate to that, my last boss was like that, so dont feel lonely , I think we all have to put up with at some point in time. I work for a construction company , getting them set up for life online, sales , office procedures, management, that sort of thing. They call office manager I call glorified secretary, hahahahaha. Scary but I have more knowledge about building houses and buildings than most the people that work here. I used to work for a lumber yard, spent 4 years sucking up all the knowledge I could, I guess you could say I used them as a stepping stone to get where I wanted too go.

In most cases and I mean MOST....the "office manager"" knows more and can run the business better then (and usally does) the bosses...its great bargianing power when you know where the files and forms are for some of the biggest clients ....its called JOB SECURITY:winkgrin:

Promise Not Knocking it

Last job I had , I was a Rss for a building supply company and I lead a crew of 16 people and the manager was a huge a--hole.
I worked at that hell hole for 4 years, until my current boss noticed I wasnt an idiot and actually could do more for him( be nice) than where I was at. Really po the boss where I worked because my new boss told him if he got the chance he was going to steal me from there. He did too. So now I make more money, less time at work and no stress. :winking:

What gender is the construction field usually made of?

Lot of sh-t for being a women in a mans field. Difference with me is well I look good for one so its alot easier to make them look like fools. Not including present company of course. Yall know I dont mean yall at all. :angel:
