I think we need to know more information.
Make/model of the modem and router. Windows version and patch level of the machines in question. More specifics as to how often the Internet stops working and under what conditions.
Have you checked the router's status page when you lose internet connectivity to see what is says about the connection? Have you connected a single machine directly to the broadband modem to see if it's a router/network thing, or a modem/ISP issue?
When it's running, and again when it fails, please do this:
Open a DOS window and type:
IPCONFIG /ALL >C:\RESULT.TXT
Open C:\RESULT.TXT with Notepad and copy/paste the entire results here.
