Please print out or save this page to your desktop in order to assist you when carrying out the following instructions.

Boot Into Safe Mode
Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work.

View Hidden Files and Folders
Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing / visible. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.

Start HijackThis Fix
Open Hijack This and click on Scan. Check the following entries (make sure you do not miss any)

F3 - REG:win.ini: run=
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AdobeReaderPro] msnxpsp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Up Service] up32.pif
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [AdobeReaderPro] msnxpsp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Up Service] up32.pif
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Up Service] up32.pif
O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [Up Service] up32.pif

Please remember to close all other windows, including browsers then click Fix checked.

Zipping of badfiles
Search for via Start | Search | for files and folders. Then under "more advanced options," check the first three boxes, now complete your searches.

msnxpsp.exe
up32.pif

When these files are found please right click them and select "add to archive" this will leave a zipped copy of the file in the same folder. Please email these ZIPPED files to Skate_Punk_21[AT]portalsentry.com
Where [AT] = @
After you have zipped and sent these files, please DELETE the original copies!!!

Reboot your system in Normal Mode.

Perform an online scan with Internet Explorer with Panda ActiveScan
  1. Click Scan your PC & a 'pop up' window shall appear. *ensure that your pop up blocker doesn't block it
  2. Click Scan Now
  3. Enter your e-mail address & click Scan Now ...begins downloading 8 MB Panda's ActiveX controls
Begin the scan by selecting My Computer
  • If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report.
  • Click on see report. Then click Save report
Post the contents of the report in your next reply along with a new HJT log

*You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report.
*Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan

Please post a fresh HijackThis log & the Log from Panda so that we can check if your system is clean.

Download MWaveScan
  • Double-click mwav.exe and unzip it to its default Directory @ C:\Kaspersky
  • Locate "kavupd.exe" in the New Folder and Double Click to Update.
  • If it says the signatures are more than 30 days old, keep trying![*]Keep trying until you get the actual signatures! (it will say "downloading yadda yadda yadda")
  • When you see "Updates downloaded Successfully, please press any key to continue" go ahead, but do not run anything else in this folder...

Boot Into Safe Mode
Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work.

Now go to the Kaspersky folder-> Locate and Double Click "mwavscan.com" to launch the MWAV Scanner!

Once opened-> Leave the Default Settings "ticked" and add a "tick" to"Drives"-> this will light up "All Drives"-> Add a "tick" to "Scan all Files"-> Click "Scan Clean" to begin!
This Scan may take Several Hours or more to Complete,Depending on the Hard Drive Size!

Please be sure it is Completed before proceeding!

1. Once the Scan has finished, All entries Identified as Infected will displayed in the lower pane! - Highlight everything that is inside the lower pane and press Ctrl+C at the same time to Copy!
2. Open a Blank Notepad Page and Paste the results (Ctrl+V) to it and Save it to your Desktop!

Reboot back to normal and post the log in this thread

Im trying to as u said but i cant.

Everytime i go into safemode, explorer wont load, it shows the black screen and writing up the top (Safe mode Windows....... Safe mode)
but it doesnt show the tast bar or anything.

Secondly, everytime i start the computer these things keep downloading themselves into drive C, i delete them ,restart and they re-download.
