Hi,

Ok well on this computer when Im browsing the internet sometimes the internet just quits giving me this message:

Anyway thats the message I get. Sometimes the computer even restarts itself !!

Sometimes it keeps restarting after I just got it booted up again.

Seriously this is pissing me off. When Im playing d2 it just quits out of it with no error or the comp just restarts.

I thought it was the motherboard but ppl on other forums said it coudlnt be.

Anyone know?

To disable the error reporting dialog and the automatic restarts, go to Start, Run, and type...

control sysdm.cpl,,3

Click Error Reporting. Choose the first option and leave the check. Click OK, and you should still see the System Properties window. Now click the Settings button for Startup and Recovery. Uncheck where it says "Send an Administrative Alert" and where it says "Automatically Restart". Click OK, then OK again to finish.

k did all that. So wut does this do? Just stops my comp from restartng and quitting applications or wut?

It stops it from asking a million times if you want to report the error to Microsoft, and it stops the computer from restarting everytime a non-critical error occurs.

well.

I did that and a few moments ago it restarted and I got like the Blue screen of death. Cant remeber exactly wut it said but it happens I hear..

its bad isnt it?

Whenever that happens you need to write down the "stop message" so people here can help diagnose (or try to) the problem for you. It should look something like something_something_something. The following site should give you an idea...

Drivers are using improper memory addresses. Uninstall any newly installed drivers. If after doing this you still get the BSOD, then it may be your memory stick(s).

how do u unistall a driver?

go to add/remove programs?

Go to your control panel>add & remove programs. Delete any drivers that are in the list. Reboot.
Make sure everything is up to date. If it still locks up, then go ahead and uninstall the drivers directly from the device manager.

when i go to close down windows internet explorer it will not let me, it sometimes freezes and my computer is very slow, i have anti virus programs on my computer it is win xp, if i do a system restore it is alright for 2 days then it goes very slow again.please can you help
