Internet problem, possibly spyware

My internet has been busy for about a month now, becoming busy when I turn on my computer to the time when I turn it off, the number of packets sent and recieved have also greatly increased. I have also been steadily losing harddrive space. My webroot spysweeper with antivirus has been of no help at all. In fact, the panda security scan that this website recommended has scanned around 4x the number of files that the webroot one does. I have no idea what is going on. Please help me.

For some reason, on the first scan, it only found 6 spyware and one rootkit. On the second, it found 10 spyware.


If any advisor can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
