Internet Explorer and Outlook Express help :)

771 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  mark40511
My best friend has a Gateway computer that I sold her about three years ago. Windows XP home edition. I helped her set up Outlook Express for her email. Her email works perfectly fine EXCEPT if anyone includes a link via email (even though it's a clickable link), when you click the link, nothing happens. I went into the settings of Outlook Express and everything is set up correctly (just like mine). I tried everything I can think of and the links will not work if you click them at all. Does anyone have any idea why? Thanks

SP2 turned off the links. Click the yellow bar in each Email to activate.
are you talking about when you open an email in outlook that includes pic's embedded in the email it will not load them (saying they are protecting you and to click above to show pictures etc) Mine does that and I just click that and everything works. But sending a an email to her outlook express and you open it and it's a "clickable" link, there is no yellow bar to click or anything that I see, you click the link and nothing happens.

In addition to that, something else I noticed that was strange on her computer, when you open IE, she had Google.com set as her home page and typically the address bar text is highlighted automatically (why, I don't know) but on her's the text is not highlighted.
