Hello All:

Lately I have been encountering intermittent video signal loss and at the same time the system hangs. (Control-Alt-Delete does nothing) The only way out of it is a hard boot. Sometimes the hard boot will not work either. When you push and hold the power button, it will turn off and then turn back on immediately without "re-pushing" the power button and the system is still hung. During those times I end up unplugging the power supply and plugging it back in to start fresh.

The video signal loss and hang occurs at different times. Sometimes it is right after login, other times it can be while browsing the internet, other times while in the middle of a Flight Simulator X game. There seems to be no correlation to amount of memory usage.

I recently upgraded from my integrated ATI Radeon X200 video to ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro PCIe video card. Shortly afterward I found that my Integrated LAN was fried. I have since replaced it with a LAN card. The video signal loss was occurring prior to the video card replacement.

I recently ugraded my PSU from the stock 300 Watt to the new 550 watt with no change in behavior.

Any thoughts as to my possible problems would be appreciated.

I visually checked the motherboard and found a couple of suspiciously swollen capacitors. I ordered a replacement OEM motherboard and swapped them out. PROBLEM SOLVED:beerchug:
