I am playing with Pokerstars in Manila (using skybroadband @ 1.5 Mbps) and Batangas (using PLDT @ 1 Mbps). I am experiencing intermittent disconnection, mostly now happening in the evenings (2200 - 0500) but can also happens at all hours.
Disconnection means sometimes the box connecting appears with network status button. Other times, "no local object" appears. Still others "unable to ..." requiring reconnection by click on pokerstars icon/shortcut again.
I have asked pokerstars tech support and they have said that problems is with ISP due to timeouts in the various hops which I have forwarded to both ISP but no improvements. In fact, the problem is getting worse.
When I do ping test, various timeouts occurs.
Previously, I did not have these problems with both ISPs.
During last visit by tech of ISP, they used both their PC together with my PC and only my PC had timeouts. (cords were swapped) on the router but same effect both with wired DSL. Wireless could not be tested as their PC's wireless was defective.
I then called up Toshiba tech support and advise was to update driver. When I checked, it said no update required. So I rolled back to an older wireless. Same effect. Then updated driver, still same effect.
Can you please advise what needs to be done?
My PC is toshiba PSL30 satellite ex Malaysia with upgraded RAM from 256 to 2 GB. Hard disk was changed to SATA ST9500420ASG ATA 500 GB with 100/100/300 as partitions C/D/E using Intel Celeron 1.6 Hz with Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit.
