I have a very old dell here it turns on but the monitor doesnt. it was workin like an hr ago tho so i dont know what the problem is. i dont have any specs for it accept it runs win98. srry if this is in the wrong play but i didnt know where to put it

Not much to go on. Make sure all connections are secure. Have you tried unplugging the monitor from the power source, then plugging it back it? Can you try the monitor on another computer to make sure the monitor is still working? Or try another monitor that you know works on your computer to make sure your graphics output is working.

nope still not workin and i also tried different ram and video card.
