So I was browsing the internet recently and this happened to appear:

It apparently renders slivers of the tabs behind it or something every few seconds, and I have to keep scrolling past it and back up to make it go away. What's weird is that it goes away for hours at a time then it shows up again. Any ideas? :sigh:

I'm using Firefox v3.6.6, on Windows XP Home SP2.

try to upgrade your operating system to sp3. Also, can you post your computer specs - Graphics card, processor, RAM, etc..

I'm guessing this problem isn't as common as I thought? I'm upgrading to Windows 7 soon so I was hoping for a quick solution to this.

well, it doesnt seem to be cpu, graphics card, or RAM related.. Try to clear all of your internet data on firefox. Also, if that doesn't work, another approach you could take to this problem would be to uninstall firefox, and after everything is removed, install a new, clean, updated version of firefox.

I guess it stopped ever since I reverted to Firefox 3.0.3
